يا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد ۞ أَشْرَف بَدْرٍ فِي الْكَوْنِ اَشْرَقْ

O my Lord, invoke Muhammad, the most glorious full moon in the shining universe.

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد ۞ أَكْرَمِ دَاعٍ يَدْعُوْ اِلَى الْحَـقْ
O my Lord, invoke Muhammad, the noblest of inviters, who invites to the truth.

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد ۞를مُصْطَفَى الصادِقِ الْمُصَدَّقْ
O my Lord, bless Muhammad, the chosen one, the righteous one, the justified one.

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمّدَ ۞ اَحْلَى الْوَرى مَنْطقًا وَاَصْدَقْ
O my Lord, invoke peace upon Muhammad, the most beautiful of speech and the most upright.

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد ۞ اَفْضلِ مَـنْ بِالتُّقـى تَحَقَّـقْ
O my Lord, bless Muhammad, a man of piety.

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد ۞ مَنْ بِالسخَا والْوَفَـا تَخَلَّـقْ
O my Lord, bless Muhammad, a man of generous character and fulfilment of promises.

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد ۞ وَاجْمَعْ مِنَ الشمْلِ مَا تَفَـرَّقْ
O my Lord, bless Muhammad and gather the things that are separated.

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد ۞ وَاصلِحْ وَسَهِلْ مَا قَدْ تَعَـوَّقْ
O my Lord invoke blessings upon Muhammad and make the difficult things easy.

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد ۞ وَافْتَحْ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ كُلَّ مُغْلَـقْ
O my Lord invoke peace upon Muhammad and open every good that is closed

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد ۞ وَآلِـهْ وَمَـنْ بِالنَّبِـيّ تَعَلَّـقْ
O my Lord, bless Muhammad and those who follow the prophet.

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وآلِهْ وَمَنْ لِلْحِيْـِب يَعْشَـقْ
O my Lord, bless Muhammad and the one who longs for the beloved.

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد ۞ وَمَـنْ بِحَبْـلِ النَّبِـيّ تَوَثَّـقْ
O my Lord, bless Muhammad and those who hold on to the rope of the prophet.

يَا رَبِّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد ۞ يَا رَبّ صَـلّ علَيْـهِ وَسلّـمْ
O my Lord, bless Muhammad, O my Lord, bless him and say salam to him.

ﺪَحَمْدُ لِلّهِ الْقَوِيِّ سُلْطَانُهْ

Praise be to Allah, who is steadfast in His power

بُرْهَاضِحِ بُرْهَانُهْ
which is clear evidence of His righteousness.

فِي الْوُجُوْدِ كَرَمُه وَإِحْسَانُهْ
which unfolds in the universe of His generosity and mercy.

تَعَالى مَجْدُه وَعَظُمَ شَانُهْ The
Most High is His glory, the Most Great is His position.

خَلَقَ الْخَلْقَ لِحِكْمَهْ
creates creatures out of wisdom

وَطَوى عَلَيْهَا عِلْمَهْ
and multiplies His knowledge over wisdom.

وَسَطَ لَهُمْ مِنْ فَائِضِ الْمِنَّةِ مَا جَرَتْ بِه فِي أَقْدَارِهِ الْقِسْمَةْ
and spread out for them the abundance of His bounty whose distribution takes place in His will.

فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَشْرَفَ خَلْقِه وَأَجَلَّ عَبِيْدِه رَحْمَةْ
then He sent His most noble creature and His most exalted servant out of mercy.

تَعَلَّقَتْ إِرَادَتُهُ الْأَزَلِيَّةُ بِخَلْقِ هذَا الْعَبْدِ الْمَحْبُوبْ
His original will is connected with the creation of this beloved servant.

فَانْتَشَرَتْ أثَارُ شَرَفِه فِي عَوَالِمِ الشَّهَادَةِ وَالْغُيُوبْ
Then spread the radiance of his glory in the real and unseen worlds.

فَمَا اَجَلَّ هذَا الْمَنَّ الَّذِيْ تَكَرَّمَ بِهِ الْمَنَّانْ
how great is this grace bestowed by the Most Gracious

وَمَا اَعْظَمَ هذَا الْفَضْلَ الَّذِيْ بَرَزَ مِنْ حَضْرَةِ الْإِحْسَانْ
how great is this virtue that appears from the source of greatness.

صُوْرَةً كَامِلَةً ظَهَرَتْ فِي هَيْكَلٍ مَحْمُودْ the
perfect form that appears in the form of a praiseworthy person.

فَتَعَطَّرَتْ بِوُجُوْدِهَا اَكْنَافُ الْوُجُودْ
then the sides of the universe become fragrant because of his presence.

وَطَرَّزَتْ بُرْدَ الْعَوَالِمِ بِطِرَازِ التَّكْرِيمْ
and the sides embroider the blanket of the universe with the embroidery of glory.

تَجَلَّى الْحَقُّ فِي عَالَمِ قُدْسِهِ الْوَاسِعْ

The All-righteous God reveals in His vast realm of holiness

تَجَلِّيًا قَضَى بِانْتِشَارِ فَضْلِه فِي الْقَرِيْبِ وَالشَّاسِعْ
with an appearance that establishes the spread of His grace on the near and far.

فَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ الَّذِيْ لا تَنْحَصِرُ اَفْرَادُه بِتَعْدَادْ
So to Him be all praise, which is infinite in number by counting.

وَلا يُمَلُّ تَكْرَارُه بِكَثْرَةِ تَرْدَادْ
and repetition is not boring because of the many repetitions.

حَيْثُ أَبْرَزَ مِنْ عَالَمِ الْإِمْكَانْ
approximately He displayed from the realm of imkan

صُوْرَةَ هذَا الْإِنْسَانْ
this form of human being

لِيَتَشَرَّفَ بِوُجُوْدِه ِ الثَّقَلانْ
So that humans and jinn may be honoured by its presence.

وَتَنْتَشِرَ اَسْرَارُه فِي الْأَكْوَانْ
and its secrets are spread in the universe.

فَمَا مِنْ سِرٍّ اتَّصَلَ بِه قَلْبُ مُنِيبْ
Then there is no secret that connects with the heart of the sober.

اِلا مِنْ سَوَابغ فَضْلِ اللّهِ عَلى هذَا الْحَبِيبْ
Except for the outpouring of Allah’s bounty on this beloved one.

يَا لَقَلْب سُرُوْرُه قَـدْ تَوَالـى ۞ بِحَبِيْب عَـمَّ الأَنَـامَ نَـوَالا
duhai the continuous happiness of the heart, because of the lover whose grace is to all men

جََلَّ مَنْ شَرَّفَ الْوُجُودَ بِنُوْرٍ ۞ غَمَرَ الْكَوْنَ بَهْجَـةً وَجَمَـالا
Glorious is the One who has glorified this form with light, which pervades the universe with joy and beauty.

قَدْ تَرَقّى فِي الْحُسْنِ اَعْلى مَقَامٍ ۞ وَتَنَاهى فِي مَجْـدِه وَتَعَالـى
Reaching the highest level of beauty, soaring with its glory.

لاحَظَتْهُ الْعُيُوْنُ فِيْمَا اجْتَلَتْـهُ ۞ بَشَرًا كَامِلا يُزِيْحُ الضـلال
The eye looks at what it sees as a perfect person who eradicates misguidance.

وَهْوَ مِنْ فَوْقِ عِلْمِ مَا قَدْ رَأَتْـهُ ۞ رِفْعَةً فِي شُؤُوْنِـه وكَمَـالا
even though it surpasses the knowledge that the eye sees in the glory of its case and perfection.

فَسُبْحَانَ الَّذيْ أَبْرَزَ مِنْ حَضْرَةِ الْاِمْتِنَانْ
mahasuci god who reveals from the side of grace

مَا يَعْجِزُ عَنْ وَصْفِهِ اللِّسَانْ
something that the tongue is unable to characterise

وَيَحَارُ فِي تَعَقُّلِ مَعَانِيْهِ الْجَنَانْ
and the heart is perplexed in thinking of its meanings.

اِنْتَشَرَ مِنْهُ فِي عَالَمِ الْبُطُوْنِ وَالظُّهُورْ
scattered from him towards the inner and outer worlds.

مَا مَلأَ الْوُجُوْدَ الْخَلْقِيَّ نُورْ
whose light does not illuminate the universe

فَتَبَارَكَ اللّهُ مِنْ اِلهٍ كَرِيمْ
Glory be to Allah, the Most Gracious Lord.

بَشَّرَتْنَا آيَاتُه فِي الذِّكْرِ الْحَكِيمْ
Which in the holy book of Al-Quran Al-Hakim Reveals the good news with His words,

بِبشَارَةِ لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ مِنْ اَنْفُسكُمْ عَزِيْزٌ عَلَيْه مَا عَنتُّمْ حَرِيْصٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بالْمُؤْمنيْنَ رَؤفٌ رَحيْم
There has come to you an apostle from among yourselves He is always concerned about what has happened to you He wants you to believe He is very merciful, very merciful.

فَمَنْ فَاجَأَتْهُ هذِهِ الْبشَارَةُ وتَلَقَّاهَا بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمْ
So whoever comes to this glad tidings and accepts it with a sound heart and mind

فَقَدْ هُدِيَ اِلى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمْ
He will undoubtedly be guided to the straight path.

وَاَشْهَدُ اَنْ لا اِلهَ اِلا اللّهُ وَحْدَه لا شَرِيْكَ لَه شَهَادَةً يُعْرِبُ بِهَا اللِّسَانْ

وَاَشْهَدُ اَنْ لا اِلهَ اِلا اللّهُ وَحْدَه لا شَرِيْكَ لَه شَهَادَةً يُعْرِبُ بِهَا اللِّسَانْ
I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, the One, with whom there is no partner, by oral testimony.

عَمَّا تَضَمَّنَهُ الْجَنَانْ
to what the heart contains.

مِنَ التَّصْدِيْقِ بِهَا وَالْإِذْعَانْ
i.e. trust and obedience.

تَثْبُتُ بِهَا فِي الصُّدُوْرِ مِنَ الْإِيْمَانِ قَوَاعِدُهْ
that by testimony, the pillars of faith are established in the heart.

وَتَلُوْحُ عَلى اَهْلِ الْيَقِيْنِ مِنْ سِرِّ ذلِكَ الْإِذْعَانِ وَالتَّصْدِيْقِ شَوَاهِدُهْ
and the evidences of faith appear in the believer of the secret of obedience and trust.

وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّ سَيِّدَنَا مُحَمَّدًا الْعَبْدُ الصَّادِقُ فِيْ قَوْلِه وَفِعْلِهْ
And I bear witness that Sayyidina Muhammad is a servant who is true in his speech and deeds.

والْمُبَلِّغَ عَنِ اللّهِ مَا اَمَرَه بِتَبْلِيْغِه لِخَلْقِه مِنْ فَرْضِه وَنَفْلِهْ
And the conveyer of what Allah has commanded to convey to His creatures, namely the obligations and obligations of Allah.

عَبْدٌ اَرْسَلَهُ اللّهُ لِلْعَالَمِيْنَ بَشِيْرًا وَنَذِيْرًا
a servant whom Allah sent to the inhabitants of the world to be a joker and a threatener.

فَبَلَّغَ الرِّسَالَةْ
So he conveyed the treatise

وَاَدَّى الْأَمَانَةْ
and fulfil the trust.

وَهَدَى اللّهُ بِه مِنَ الْأُمَّةِ بَشَرًا كَثِيْرًا
and by him Allah shows the people who are many.

فَكَانَ فِي ظُلْمَة ِ الْجَهْلِ لِلْمُسْتَبْصِرِيْنَ سِرَاجًا وَقَمَرًا مُنِيْرًا
then he is a bright lamp and full moon for seekers of guidance in the darkness of ignorance.

فَمَا اَعْظَمَهَا مِنْ مِنَّةٍ تَكَرَّمَ اللّهُ بِهَا عَلَى الْبَشَرْ
What a great bounty Allah has bestowed on mankind

ومَا اَوْسَعَهَا مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ اِنْتَشَرَ سِرُّهَا فِي الْبَحْرِ والْبَرْ
How vast are the favours whose secrets are scattered over the seas and the lands.

الّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ بِاَجََلِّ الصَّلَوَاتِ وَاَجْمَعِهَا وَاَزْكَى التَّحِيَّاتِ وَاَوْسَعِهَا
O Allah bestow mercy and greetings, with the greatest and most complete mercy, and the holiest and widest honour.

عَلى هذَا الْعَبْدِ الَّذِيْ وَفّى بِحَقِّ الْعُبُوْدِيَّةْ
against this servant who fulfils the right of slavery

وبَرَزَ فِيْهَا فِيْ خِلْعَةِ الْكَمَالْ
and who appears in slavery with perfect characteristics

وقَامَ بِحَقِّ الرُّبُوْبِيَّةِ فِي مَوَاطِنِ الْخِدْمَة ِ لِلّهِ وَاَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِ غَايَةَ الْإِقْبَالْ
and who fulfils the right of divinity in places of devotion to Allah, and faces Him with the best possible facing

صَلاةً يَتَّصِلُ بِهَا رُوْحُ الْمُصَلِّيْ عَلَيْهِ بِهْ
The invocation
that connects the spirit of the one who invokes it with him.

فَيَنْبَسِطُ فِيْ قَلْبِه نُوْرُ سِرِّ تَعَلُّقِه بِه وَحُبِّهْ
then becomes wide the light of the secret of his bond with her and the love of her in his heart.

ويُكْتَبُ بِهَا بِعِنَايَةِ اللّهِ فِيْ حِزْبِهْ
And he is recorded with the help of Allah in his group.

وَعَلى الِه وَصَحْبِهِ الَّذيْنَ ارْتَقَوْا صَهْوَةَ الْمَجْدِ بِقُرْبِهْ
And on his family and his companions who ascended to a high degree
for being close to him.

وَتَفَيَّأُوْا ظِلالَ الشَّرَفِ الْأَصْلِيّ بِوُدِّه وَحُبِّهْ
And they shelter in the shadow of true glory by cherishing her and loving her.

مَا عَطَّرَ الْأَكْوَانَ بِنَشْرِ ذِكْرَاهُمْ نَسِيمْ
As long as the gusts of wind honour the universe for the spreading of their mentions

اَمَّا بَعْدُ فَلَمَّا تَعَلَّقَت إِرَادَةُ اللّهِ فِيْ الْعِلْم الْقَدِيمْ

اَمَّا بَعْدُ فَلَمَّا تَعَلَّقَت إِرَادَةُ اللّهِ فِيْ الْعِلْم الْقَدِيمْ
Amma bakdu, Whenever the will of Allah in His knowledge is bound.

بِظُهُوْرِ اَسْرَارِ التَّخْصِيْصِ لِلْبَشَرِ الْكَرِيمْ
with the emergence of the secrets of speciality for the noble human being.

بِالتَّقْدِيْم وَالتَّكْرِيمْ
with virtue and honour

نَفَذَتِ الْقُدْرَةُ الْبَاهِرَةْ
Realised with a resounding will

بِالنِّعْمَةِ الْوَاسِعَةِ وَالْمِنَّةِ الْغَامِرَةْ
with abundant favours and grace.

فَانْفَلَقَتْ بَيْضَةُ التَّصْوِيرْ
then split the egg of the painting.

فِي الْعَالَمِ الْمُطْلَقِ الْكَبِيرْ
In a great absolute realm

عَنْ جَمَالٍ مَشْهُوْدٍ بِالْعَينْ
Revealing the beauty that the eye witnesses

حَاوٍ لِوَصْفِ الْكَمَالِ الْمُطْلَقِ وَالْحُسْنِ التَّامِّ وَالزَّينْ
Which includes the attributes of absolute perfection and perfect excellence and beauty.

فَتَنَقَّلَ ذلِكَ الْجَمَالُ الْمَيْمُونْ
then the beauty moves around

فِي الْأَصْلابِ الْكَرِيْمَةِ وَالْبُطُونْ
In the noble backbones and wombs

فَمَا مِنْ صُلْبٍ ضَمَّهْ
There is not a single backbone that carries it.

اِلا وَتَمَّتْ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ اللّهِ النّعْمَةْ
Unless Allah’s favour is perfect for him.

فَهُوَ الْقَمَرُ التَّامُّ الَّذِيْ يَتَنَقَّلُ فِي بُرُوْجِهْ
it is the perfect moon that moves in its orbit.

لِيَتَشَرَّفَ بِه مَوْطِنُ اسْتِقْرَارِه وَمَوْضِعُ خُرُوْجِهْ
So that his dwelling place and his exit may attain glory.

وَقَدْ قَضَتِ الْأَقْدَارُ الْأَزَلِيَّةُ بِمَا قَضَتْ وَاَظْهَرَتْ مِنْ سِرِّ هذَا النُّوْرِ مَا اَظْهَرَتْ
and the predestination establishes what it has established, and reveals the secret of this nur to what it has revealed.

وَخَصَّصَتْ بِه مَنْ خَصَّصَتْ
and specialises in the one he has specialised in.

فَكَانَ مُسْتَقُّه فِي الْأَصْلابِ الْفَاخِرَةْ
then his dwelling place will be in the noble backbone.

وَالْأَرْحَامِ الشَّرِيْفَةِ الطَّاهِرَةْ
and noble wombs that are pure

حَتّى بَرَزَ فِيْ عَاَلمِ الشَّهَادَة ِ بَشَرًا لا كَالْبَشَرْ
Until he comes to the real world as a human being not like an ordinary human being

وَنُوْرًا حَيَّرَ الْأَفْكَارَ ظُهُوْرُه وَبَهَرْ
and as a light whose appearance confuses the mind and dazzles it

فَتَعَلَّقَتْ هِمَّةُ الرَّاقِمِ لِهذِهِ الْحُرُوفْ
So moved is the desire of this writer these letters

بِأَنْ يَرْقُمَ فِيْ هذَا الْقِرْطَاس مَا هُوَ لَدَيْهِ مِنْ عَجَائِبِ ذلِكَ النُّوْرِ مَعْرُوفْ
to write on this paper what he knows about the miracle of the noble light.

وَإِنْ كَانَتِ الْأَلْسُنُ لا تَفِيْ بِعُشْرِ مِعْشَارِ اَوْصَافِ ذلِكَ الْمَوْصُوفْ
Even though the tongue cannot fulfil ten per cent of the ten per cent of the attributes of the person being described

تَشْوِيْقًا لِلسَّامِعِينْ
for missing the listeners

مِنْ خَوَاصِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينْ
from among the specialised believers.

وتَرْوِيْحًا لِلْمُتَعَلّقِيْنَ بِهذَا النُّوْرِ الْمُبِينْ
and consolation for those who are bound to this bright light.

وَإِلا فَانّى تُعْرِبُ الْأَقْلامْ
if not, then how can the pen explain

عَنْ شُؤنِ خَيْرِ الْأَنَامْ
About the most important human affairs

وَلكِنْ هَزَّنِيْ اِلى تَدْوِيْنِ مَا حَفِظْتُه مِنْ سِيَرِ اَشْرَفِ الْمَخْلُوْقِينْ
Yet it moves me to write what I have memorised about the life history of the noblest of creatures.

وَمَا اَ كْرَمَهُ اللّهُ بِه فِيْ مَوْلِدِه مِنَ الْفَضْلِ الَّذِيْ عَمَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
and the glory that Allah bestowed upon him at his birth is a virtue that encompasses the universe.

وَقِيَتْ رَايَتُه فِيْ الْكَوْنِ مَنْشُوْرَةً عَلى مَرِّ الْأَيَّامِ وَالشُّهُوْرِ وَالسِّنِينْ
And its flag is eternal in the universe as it flies throughout the days, months and years.

دَاعِي التَّعَلُّقِ بِهذِهِ الْحَضْرَةِ الْكَرِيْمَةْ
is my infatuation with this lofty person.

وَلاعِجُ التَّشَوُّقِ اِلى سَمَاع اَوْصَافِهَا الْعَظِيْمَةْ
As well as the shock of longing to hear his great attributes.

ولَعَلَّ اللّهَ يَنْفَعُ بِه الْمُتَكَلِّمَ وَالسَّامِعْ
And may Allah benefit the speaker and the listener.

فَيَدْخُلانِ فِيْ شَفَاعَةِ هذَا النَّبِيّ الشَّافِعْ
So that both of them enter into the intercession of this interceding prophet.

وَيَتَرَوَّحَانِ بِرَوْحِ ذلِكَ النَّعِيمْ
And delight in the pleasure of it

وَقَدْ آنَ لِلْقَلَمِ اَنْ يَخُطَّ مَا حَرَّكَتْهُ فِيْهِ الْأَنَامِلْ

it’s time to write finger-driven writing

مِمَّا اسْتَفَادَهُ الْفَهْمُ مِنْ صِفَاتِ هذَا الْعَبْدِ الْمَحْبُوْبِ الْكَامِلْ
whose understanding benefits from the attributes of this beloved servant who is perfect.

وشَمَائِلِهِ الَّتِيْ هِيَ اَحْسَنُ الشَّمَائِلْ
and its attributes which are the best attributes.

وَهُنَا حَسُنَ اَنْ نُثْبِتَ مَا بَلَغَ اِلَيْنَا فِيْ شَأْنِ هذَا الْحَبِيْبِ مِنْ اَخْبَارٍ وأثَارْ
here it is good for us to establish the hadith and above that reached us about this matter of lovers

لِيَتَشَرَّفَ بِكِتَابَتِهِ الْقَلَمُ وَالْقِرْطَاسُ وتَتَنَزَّهَ فِيْ حَدَائِقِهِ الْأَسْمَاعُ والْأَبْصَارْ
so that the pen and paper may have the glory of writing, and hearing and sight be pure in their gardens.

وَقَدْ بَلَغَنَا فِيْ الْأَحَادِيْثِ الْمَشْهُوْرَة
indeed reached us in the well-known traditions.

أَنَّ اَوَّلَ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ اللّهُ هُوَ النُّوْرُ الْمُوْدَعُ فِيْ هذِهِ الصُّوْرَةْ
indeed the beginning of something that Allah created is the light that is stored in this form

فَنُوْرُ هذَا الْحَبِيْبِ اَوَّلُ مَخْلُوْقٍ بَرَزَ فِي الْعَالَمْ
then the light of this lover is the beginning of the creature that appears in the world.

ومِنْهُ تَفَرَّعَ الْوُجُوْدُ خَلْقًا بَعْدَ خَلْقٍ فِيْمَا حَدَثَ ومَا تَقَادَمْ
and from that light the creation branches out, one creation after another, in this time and in the past.

وَقَدْ اَخْرَجَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ بِسَنَدِه عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللّهِ الأَنْصارِيِّ رَضيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: {قُلْتُ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللّهِ بِأَبِيْ واُمّيْ اَخْبِرْنِيْ عَنْ اَوَّلِ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ اللّهُ قَبْلَ الأَشْيَاءْ
Abdurrazaq narrated with his sanad from Jabir ibni Abdillah Al Anshori Ra. he said: I asked: O Messenger of Allah by my father and my mother, tell me about the beginning of something that Allah created before anything else.

قَالَ: يَا جَابِرُ إِنَّ اللّهَ خَلَقَ قَبْلَ الأَشْيَاءِ نُوْرَ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ نُوْرِهْ
he said: O Jabir, Allah created the light of your prophet SAW before anything else of His light.

وَقَدْ وَرَدَ مِنْ حَديْثِ أَبِيْ هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ اَنَّه قَالَ: قَالَ: رَسُوْلُ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ: كُنْتُ اَوَّلَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ فِي الْخَلْقِ وَآخِرَهُمْ فِي الْبَعْثِ
narrated from the hadith of Abi Hurairah Ra. that he said: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: I am the beginning of the prophets in creation and the end of the prophets in messaging.

وَقَدْ تَعَدَّدَتِ الرِّوَايَاتُ بِاَنَّه اَوَّلُ الْخَلْقِ وُجُوْدًا وَأَشْرَفُهُمْ مَوْلُوْدًا
many narrations that he is the beginning of the creation and the nobility of the creature of his birth.

وَلَمَّا كَانَتِ السَّعَادَةُ الْأَبَدِيَّةْ
and when the everlasting happiness

لَهَا مُلاحَظَةٌ خَفِيَّةْ
has a faint look

اِخْتَصَّتْ مَنْ شَاءَتْ مِنَ الْبَرِيَّةْ
singling out the man whom he wills.

بِكَمَالِ الْخُصُوْصِيَّةْ
with the perfection of specificity.

فَاسْتَوْدَعَتْ هذَا النُّوْرَ الْمُبِينْ
he entrusted this bright light

اَصْلابَ وبُطُوْنَ مَنْ شَرَّفَتْهُ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينْ
in the backbones and bellies of those whom he honours.

فَتَنَقَّلَ هذَا النُّوْرُ مِنْ صُلْبِ آدَمَ وَنُوْحٍ واِبْرَاهِيمْ
then this light moved from the backbone of Adam, Noah and Abraham.

حَتّى اَوْصَلَتْهُ يَدُ الْعِلْمِ الْقَدِيمْ
so that the power of knowledge which first conveyed it

اِلى مَنْ خَصَّصَتْهُ بِالتَّكْرِيْمِ اَبِيْهِ الْكَرِيمْ
to the one to whom he dedicated the honour of his noble father.

عَبْدِ اللّهِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِب ذِي الْقَدْرِ الْعَظِيمْ
i.e. Abdullah ibnu Abdil Mutholib who has a great degree.

واُمُّهُ الَّتِيْ هِيَ فِي الْمَخَاوِفِ آمِنَةْ
and his mother for whom he is a safe person in times of fear.

اَلسَّيِّدَةِ الْكَرِيْمَةِ آمِنَةْ
noble lord Aminah

فَتَلَقَّاهُ صُلْبُ عَبْدِ اللّهِ فَأَلْقَاهُ اِلى بَطْنِهَا
bone riot Abdullah handed over to Aminah’s stomach

فَضَمَّتْهُ اَحْشَاؤُهَا بِمَعُوْنَةِ اللّهِ مُحَافَظَةً عَلى حَقِّ هذِهِ الدُّرَّةِ وصَوْنِهَا
then Aminah’s belly conceived her with the help of Allah, to keep the right of this pearl and protect it.

فَحَمََلَتْهُ بِرِعَايَةِ اللّهِ كَمَا وَرَدَ عَنْهَا حَمْلا خَفِيْفًا لا تَجِدُ لَه ثِقَلا
then she conceived with the help of Allah as told, with a light womb that she did not gain weight.

وَلا تَشْكُوْا مِنْهُ اَ لَمًا وَلا عِلَلا
and he feels no pain.

حَتّى مَرَّ الشَّهْرُ بَعْدَ الشَّهْرِ مِنْ حَمْلِهْ
until the months have passed from the womb

وقَرُبَ وَقْتُ بُرُوْزِه اِلى عَالَمِ الشَّهَادَةِ لِتَنْبَسِطَ عَلى اَهْلِ هذَا الْعَالَمِ فُيُوْضَاتُ فَضْلِهْ
and the time of his presence in the world, so that the flow of grace flows to the inhabitants of this natural world.

وَتَنْتَشِرَ فِيْهِ آثَارُ مَجْدِهِ الصَّمِيمْ
and the legacy of his powerful glory is scattered in the natural world.

وَمُنْذُ عَلِقَتْ بِه هذِهِ الدُّرَّةُ الْمَكْنُوْنَةْ

since the stored pearl is bound to it

والْجَوْهَرَةُ الْمَصُوْنَةْ
and protected jewels

والْكَوْنُ كُلُّه يُصْبحُ ويُمْسِيْ فِيْ سُرُوْرٍ وابْتِهَاجْ
the whole realm of morning and evening is in happiness and joy.

بِقُرْبِ ظُهُوْرِ إِشْرَاقِ هذَا السِّرَاجْ
with the imminent appearance of this lantern beam

والْعُيُوْنُ مُتَشَوِّفَةٌ اِلى بُرُوْزِهْ
eyes longing for his birth

مُتَشَوِّقَةٌ اِلَى الْتِقَاطِ جَوَاهِرِ كُنُوْزِهْ
longing will find its stored essence

وكُلُّ دَابَّة ٍ لِقُرَيْشٍ نَطَقَتْ بِفَصِيْح الْعِبَارَةْ
and all the animals belonging to the Quraysh said in clear words

مُعْلِنَةً بِكَمَالِ الْبشَارَةْ
announcing the perfection of good news

وَمَا مِنْ حَامِلٍ حَمَلَت فِيْ ذلِكَ الْعَامْ
no one conceived in that year.

اِلا اَتَتْ فِيْ حَمْلِهَا بِغُلامْ
unless she brings forth a son in her womb

مِنْ بَرَكَاتِ وَسَعَادَةِ هذَا الْإِمَامْ
because of this leader’s blessings and happiness

وَلَمْ تَزَلِ الْأَرْضُ وَالسَّمَوَاتْ
and the earth and the heavens do not cease.

مُتَضَمِّخَةً بِعِطْرِ الْفَرَح بِمُلاقَاةِ اَشْرَفِ الْبَرِيَّاتْ
contains the fragrance of meeting a noble being.

وبُرُوْزِه مِنْ عَالَمِ الْخَفَاءِ اِلى عَالَمِ الظُّهُورْ
and his birth from the realm of the obscure to the realm of the clear.

بَعْدَ تَنَقُّلِه فِي الْبُطُوْنِ وَالظُّهُورْ
after its movement in the stomachs and ribs

فَأَظْهَرَ اللّهُ فِي الْوُجُوْدِ بَهْجَةَ التَّكْرِيمْ
then Allah reveals the feast of glory in the realm of nature.

وبَسَطَ فِي الْعَالَمِ الْكَبِيْرِ مَائِدَةَ التَّشْرِيْفِ وَالتَّعْظِيمْ
and He spreads a dish of glory and majesty in great deeds.

بِبُرُوْزِ هذَا الْبَشَرِ الْكَرِيمْ
with the arrival of this noble human being

فَحِيْنَ قَرُبَ اَوَانُ وَضْعُ هذَا الْحَبِيبْ

and when the time of this lover’s birth is near

أَعْلَنَتِ السَّمَوَاتُ وَالْأَرَضُوْنَ وَمَنْ فِيْهِنَّ بِالتَّرْحِيبْ the
heavens and the earths and those who are there declare homage.

وَاَمْطَارُ الْجُوْدِ الْإِلهيّ عَلى اَهْلِ الْوُجُوْدِ تَثِجْ
and the rain of divine
favour on the inhabitants of the world is heavy.

وَأَلْسِنَةُ الْمَلائِكَةِ بِالتَّبْشِيْرِ لِلْعَالَمِيْنَ تَعِجْ
and the mouths of the angels pronounced glad tidings on the inhabitants of the worlds.

وَالْقُدْرَةُ كَشَفَتْ قِنَاعَ هذَا الْمَسْتُورْ
and Allah’s power unmasks the mask of the covered one.

لِيَبْرُزَ نُوْرُه كَامِلا فِيْ عَالَمِ الظُّهُورْ
so that its light appears perfectly in the world of nature.

نُوْرًا فَاقَ كُلَّ نُوْرْ
light upon light

وَاَنْفَذَ الْحَقُّ حُكْمَهْ
and the all-righteous executes the law.

عَلى مَنْ اَتَمَّ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ النّعْمَةْ
towards the one whom Allah has perfected favour upon.

مِنْ خَوَاصِّ الأُمَّةْ
from a special Ummah.

أَنْ يَحْضُرَ عِنْدَ وَضْعِه اُمَّةْ
to be present when the mother gives birth.

تَأْنِيْسًا لِجَنَابِهَا الْمَسْعُودْ
to reassure his happy glory.

وَمُشَارَكَةً لَهَا فِيْ هذَا السِّمَاطِ الْمَمْدُودْ
and accompany him on this treat.

فَحَضَرَتْ بِتَوْفِيْقِ اللّهِ السَّيّدَةُ مَرْيَمُ وَالسَّيِّدَةُ آسِيَةْ
then come with the guidance of Allah Sayyidah Maryam and Sayyidah Asiyah.

ومَعَهُمَا مِنَ الْحُوْرِ الْعِيْنِ مَنْ قَسَمَ اللّهُ لَه مِنَ الشَّرَفِ بِالْقِسْمَةِ الْوَافِيَةْ
and with them the angels that Allah distributed to him with a perfect share.

فَأَتَى الْوَقْتُ الَّذِيْ رَتَّبَ اللّهُ عَلى حُضُوْرِه وُجُوْدَ هذَا الْمَوْلُودْ
then came the time that Allah prepared for the one who was born for the time to come.

فَانْفَلَقَ صُبْحُ الْكَمَالِ مِنَ النُّوْرِ عَنْ عَمُودْ
then split the morning perfection of the light from the pillars

وبَرَزَ الْحَامِدُ الْمَحْمُودْ
and there comes the prophet who praises and is praised.

مُذْعِنًا لِلّهِ بِالتَّعْظِيْمِ وَالسُّجُودْ
while submitting to Allah with adoration and prostration.

أَشْرَقَ الْكَوْنُ ابْتِهَاجًـا ۞ بِوُجُوْدِ الْمُصْطَفَى احْمَدْ

the universe shone magnificently with the presence of the chosen prophet, Ahmad

ولأَهْلِ الْكَوْنِ أُنْـسٌ ۞ وسُرُوْرٌ قَـدْ تَجَـدَّدْ
and the inhabitants of the universe have a new peace and happiness.

فَاطْرَبُوْا يَا أهْلَ الْمَثَانِيْ ۞ فَهَزَارُ الْيمْنِ غَرَّدْ
So rejoice O people of fatihah, for the nightingale of Yemen is chirping.

وَاسْتَضيْئوا بِجَمَـالٍ ۞ فَاقَ فِي الْحُسْنِ تَفَـَّردْ
and build with superior beauty, which alone is good.

وَلَنَا الْبُشْـرى بِسَعْـدٍ ۞ مُسْتَمِرٍ لَيْـس يَنْفَدْ
and we have happy news, with happiness that continues endlessly

حَيْثُ أُوتِيْنَـا عَطَـاءً ۞ جَمَعَ الْفَخْـرَ الْمُؤَبدْ when we are given a gift, which gathers pride that lasts forever.

فَلِرَبي كُـلُّ حَـمْـدٍ ۞ جَلَّ اَنْ يَحْصُرَ هُ الْعَـدْ
So to my Lord be all the praise for which it is difficult to count.

إِذْ حَبَانَا بوُجُوْدِ الْـ ۞ ـمُصطَفى الْهَادِي مُحَمَّدْ
When He provides us with the presence of a chosen prophet who demonstrates the praiseworthy

يَا رَسُـوْلَ اللهِ أَهْـلاً ۞ بِكَ إِنَّا بِكَ نُسْعَـدْ
O messenger of Allah, welcome, indeed we are happy with you.

وبِجَاهِــهْ يَا إِلهِــي ۞ جُدْ وبَلّغْ كُلَّ مَقْصَـدْ
And with his position, O my Lord, grant and convey all purposes

واهْدِنَا نَهْجَ سَبِيْلِـهْ ۞ كَيْ بِه نُسْعَدْ ونُرْشَـدْ
And show us the way, that we may be happy and guided.

رَب بَلّغْنَا بِجَـاهِـهْ ۞ فِيْ جِوَارِهْ خَيْر مَقْعَـدْ
O my Lord with his position convey us to the best place beside him.

وَصَـلاَةُ اللهِ تَغْشـى ۞ أَشْرَفَ الرُّسْلِ مُحَمَّـدْ
and Allah’s mercy may rest upon the most honourable messenger, Muhammad.

وسَلاَمٌ مُسْتَـمِـرٌّ ۞ كُـلَّ حِيْنٍ يَتَـجَـدَّدْ
and the greetings that continue, which are new at every time

وَحِيْنَ بَرَزَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ بَطْنِ اُمِّهِ بَرَزَ رَافِعًا طَرْفَهُ اِلَى السَّمَآءْ

and when he was born from his mother’s womb, he was born while lifting his gaze to the sky

مُؤْمِيًا بِذَالِكَ الرَّفْعِ اِلَى اَّنَّ لَهُ شَرَفًا عَلَا مَجْدُهُ وَسَمَا
by signalling with this view that indeed he has a noble and high glory.

وَكَانَ وَقْتُ مَوْلِدِ سَيّدِ اْلكَوْنَيْنْ
and the time of birth of the lord of the two worlds

مِنَ الشُّهُوْرُشَهْرِرَبِيْعِ الْاَوَّلِ وَمِنَ الْاَيَّامِ يَوْمَ الْاِثْنَيْنْ
of those months is the month of Robiul Awal and of those days is Monday.

وَمَوْضِعُ وِلاَدَتِهِ وَقَبْرِهِ بِالْحَرَمَيْنْ
and his
birthplace and grave are in the Haramain.

وَقَدْ وَرَدَ اَنَّهُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وُلِدَ مَخْتُوْناً مَكْحُوْلاً مَقْطُوْعَ السُّرَّةْ it is
narrated that he was
 born circumcised, wearing kohl and having his navel cut.

تَوَلَّتْ ذَالِكَ لِشَرَفِهِ عِنْدَ اللهِ اَيْدِى الْقُدْرَةْ
the hand of power handles it because of his glory in the sight of Allah.

وَمَعَ بُرُوْزِه اِلَى الْعَالَمِ ظَهَرَ مِنَ الْعَجَائِبْ
and with his
 emergence into the world, there were oddities.

مَا يَدُلُّ عَلى اَنَّهُ اَشْرَفُ الْمَخْلُوْقِيْنَ وَاَفْضَلُ الْحَبَائِبْ
which indicates that he is the most noble of creatures, and the most excellent of
lovers.

فَقَدْ وَرَدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ اُمَّهِ الشَّفَّاءِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا
narrated from Abdurrahman ibn Auf from his mother Shaffa’ RA.

قَالَتْ لَمَّا وَلَدَتْ اَمِنَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا رَسُوْلَ اللهُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَعَ عَلى يَدَيَّ فَاسْتَهَلَّ فَسَمِعْتُ قَائِلاً يَقُوْلُ رَحِمَكَ اللهُ اَو ْرَحِمَكَ رَّكَ
his mother said: When Aminah Ra gave birth to the Messenger of Allah (SAW), he fell in my hands, then I was the one who said: may Allah have mercy on you or may your god have mercy on you.

قَالَتِ الشَّفَّاءُ فَاَضَآءَ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَ اْلمَشْرِقِ وَاْلمَغْرِقِ وَاْلمَغْرِبْ
Shaafa said: so because of him the heavens and the earth were brightened.

حَتّى نَظَرْتُ اِلى بَعْضِ قُصُوْرِ الرُّومْ
until I saw some of the Roman palaces.

قَالَتْ ثُمَّ بَسْتُهُ وَاَضْجَعْتُهُ فَلَمْ اَنْشَبْ اَنْ غَشِيَتْنِى ظُلْمَةٌ وَرُعْبٌ وَقُشَعْرِيْرَةٌ عَنْ يَمِيْنِى
Shfa said: then I clothed him, and put him to sleep.

فَسَمِعْتُ قَائِلاً يَقُوْلُ اَيْنَ ذَهَبْتَ بِهِ قَالَ اِلَى الْمَغْرِبْ
Then I heard a speaker say where are you taking him he said towards the west

وَاَسْفَرَ ذَالِكَ عَنىّ
and it is gone from me.

ثُمَّ عَاوَدَنِى الرُّعْبُ وَالظُّلْمَةُ وَاْلقُشَعْرِيْرَةُ عَنْ يَسَارِيْ
then came to me again the fear, darkness, and goosebumps from my left

فَسَمِعْتُ قَائِلاًّ يَقُوْلُ اَيْنَ ذَهَبْتَ بِهِ قَالَ اِلَى لْمَشْرِقْ
Then I heard a speaker say where are you taking him he said towards the east

قَالَتْ فَلَمْ يَزَلِ الْحَدِيْثُ مِنّى عَلَى بَالٍ حَتَّى ابْتَعَثَهُ اللهُ the
incident kept coming to me until he was sent by Allah.

فَكُنْتُ مِنْ اَوَّلِ النَّاسِ اِسْلَامً
Then I am among the first of the Muslims.

وَكَمْ تَرْجَمَتِ السُّنَّةُ مِنْ عَظِيْمِ اْلمُعْجِزَاتْ
And many Sunnah
explanations of the greatness of miracles.

وَبَاهِرِ الايَآتِ اْلبَيّنَاتْ
And the light of a clear verse

بِمَا يَقْضِى بِعَظِيْمِ شَرَفِهِ عِنْدَ مَوْلَاهُ
Who ensures his honour by the side of his master.

وَاَنَّ عَيْنَ عِنَايَتِهِ فِى كُلّ حِيْنٍ تَرْعَاهْ
And verily the essence of his watchfulness at all times is to guard the people.

وَاَنَّهُ الْهَادِى اِلى الصّرَاطِ اْلمُسْتَقِيمْ
And indeed he is the one who points to the straight path.

ثُمَّ إنَّه صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَ سَلَّم بَعْدَ أَنْ حَكَمَت القُدْرَةُ بِظُهُورِه

Then after the prophet (pbuh) has been determined to appear

وَانْتَشَرَت فِي الأكْوَانِ لَوَامِعُ نُورِه
and scattered in the world its light.

تَسَابَقَتْ إلَى رَضَاعِهِ المُرْضِعَات vying
to suckle the lactating women.

وَتَوَفَّرَت رَغَبَاتِ أَهْلِ الوُجُودِ فِي حَضَانَةِ هَذِهِ الذَّات
and much desire of the world’s population to take care of this noble substance.

فَنَفَذَ الحُكْمُ مِنَ الحَضْرَةِ العَظِيْمَة
hence the decision of the great presence

بِوَاسِطَةِ السَّوَابِقِ القَدِيمَة
with the speed of the former

بِأنَّ الأولى بِتَرْبِيَةِ هَذَا الحَبِيبِ وَحَضَانَتِهِ السَّيِّدَةُ حَلِيْمَة
that the most entitled to educate this lover and take care of him is Sayyidah Halimah.

وَحِينَ لَاحَظَتْهُ عُيُونُهَا
and when Halimah’s
eyes watched him

وَبَرَزَ فِي شَأنِهَا مِنْ أَسْرَارِ القُدْرَةِ الرَّبَّانِيَّةِ مَكْنُونُهَا
and appears in his house in his affairs from the secret of the power of God.

نَازَلَ قَلْبَهَا مِنَ الفَرَحِ وَالسُّرُور
descends in his heart pleasure and happiness

مَا دَلَّ عَلَى أَنَّ حَظَّهَا مِنَ الكَرَامَةِ عِنْدَ الله حَظٌّ مَوْفُوْر
which indicates that he was honoured by Allah with a large share.

فَحَنَّتْ عَلَيْهِ حُنُوَّ الأُمَّهَاتِ عَلَى البَنِين
then Halimah loves him as a mother loves her child.

وَرَغَبَت فِي رَضَاعَتِهِ طَمَعًا فِي نَيْلِ بَرَكَاتِهِ الَّتِي شَمِلَتِ العَالَمِين
and Halimah wanted to breastfeed him in order to receive his blessings which reached all the worlds.

فَطَلَبَت مِنْ أُمِّهِ الكَرِيْمَة
then Halimah requested from her noble mother

أَنْ تَتَوَلَّى رَضَاعِهِ وَحَضَانَتِهِ وَتَرْبِيَتِهِ بِالعَيْنِ الرَّحِيمَة
for breastfeeding him and nurturing him and educating him with the eyes of affection

فَأَجَابَتْهَا بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ لِدَاعِيْهَا
then he fulfils the invitation.

لِمَا رَأَت مِنْ صِدْقِهَا فِي حُسْنِ التَّرْبِيَةِ وَوُفُورِ دَوَاعِيهَا
for seeing his honesty in educating and his many encouragements.

فَتَرَحَّلَتْ بِهِ إلَى مَنَازِلِهَا مَسْرُورَة
then he brought the prophet to his house in a happy state.

وَهِيَ بِرِعَايَةِ الله مَحْفُوفَةٌ وَبِعَيْنِ عِنَايَتِهِ مَنْظُورَة
he is encircled with the care of Allah, and seen with the eyes of His help.

فَشَاهَدَت فَي طَرِيقِهَا مِنْ غَرِيبِ المُعْجِزَات
then he witnessed on his journey a strange miracle.

مَا دَلَّهَا عَلَى أنَّهُ أَشْرَفُ المَخْلُوقَات
something that shows that he is the noblest of creatures.

فَقَدْ أَتَتْ وَشَارِفُهَا وَأَتَانُهَا ضَعِيفَتَان
he came in a state of weak riding.

وَرَجَعَتْ وَهُمَا لِدَوَابِّ القَافِلَةِ تَسْبِقَان
and it returns and precedes the other animals.

وَقَدْ دَرَّتِ الشَارِفُ وَالشِّيَاهُ مِنَ الألبَان
and goats have fulfilled milk

بِمَا حَيَّرَ العُقُولُ وَالأذْهَان
with things that confuse the mind and heart.

وَبَقِيَ عِنْدَهَا فِي حَضَانَتِهَا وَزَوْجِهَا سَنَتَين
and he stayed with Halimah in her breastfeeding and her husband two years.

تَتَلَقَّى مِنْ بَرَكَاتِهِ وَعَجَائِبِ مُعْجِزَاتِهِ مَا تُقِرُّ بِهِ العَيْن
he got the blessing of the prophet and the amazement of his miracle that calms the heart.

وَتَنْتَشِرُ أَسْرَارُهُ فِي الكَوْنَيْن
and his
secrets spread throughout the world

حَتَّى وَاجَهَتْهُ مَلَائِكَةُ التَّخْصِيصِ وَالإكْرَام
until an angel came to him with specialness and honour.

بِالشَّرَفِ الَّذِي عَمَّتْ بَرَكَتُهُ الأَنَامَ وَهُوَ يَرْعَى الأغْنَام
with the glory of which the blessings were exposed to people when he herded goats.

فَأضْجَعُوهُ عَلَى الأضَْرْضِ إضْجَاعَ تَشْرِيف
then laid him down on the ground in a glorified position.

وَشَقَّوْا بَطْنَهُ شَقًّا لَطِيف
and the angels dissected his stomach with a gentle dissection.

ثُمَّ أَخْرَجُوا مِنْ قَلْبِهِ مَا أَخْرَجُوه
then they took out of his heart what they had taken out of him.

وَأوْدَعُوا فِيهِ مِنْ أَسْرَارِ العِلْمِ وَالحِكْمَةِ مَا أَوْدَعُوه
and entrusted in his heart the secrets of knowledge and wisdom.

وَمَا أَخْرَجَ الأمْلَكُ مِنْ صَدْرِهِ أَذًى وَلَكِنَّهُمْ زَادُوهُ طُهْراً عَلَى طُهْر
and the angels did not remove dirt from his chest, but added purity upon purity.

وَهُوَ مَعَ ذَلِكَ فِي قُوَّةٍ وَثَبَات
with that he was in strength and steadfastness.

يَتَصَفَّحُ مِنْ سُطُورِ القُدْرَةِ الإلَهِيَّةِ بَاهِرُ الآيَات
which explains the signs of Allah’s power.

فَبَلَغَ إلَى مُرْضِعَتِهِ الصَالِحَةِ العَفِيفَه
then up to the woman who breastfed him who was righteous and avoided sin.

مَا حَصَلَ عَلَى ذَاتِهِ الشَّرِيفَة
what happened in his honourable self

فَتَخَوَّفَتْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ حَادِثٍ تَخْشَاه
then he feared the event that overtook him.

وَلَمْ تَدْرِ أَنَّهُ مُلَاحَظٌ بِالمُلَاحَظَةِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ مَوْلَاه
and he did not know that he was watched with perfect attention from his master (Allah).

فَرَدَتْه] إِلَى أُمِّهِ وَهِيَ غَيْرُ سَخِيَّةٌ بِفِرَاقِه
so he returned the prophet to his mother, unwilling to be separated from her
.

وَلَكِن لِمَا قَامَ مَعَهَا مِنْ حُزْنِ القَلْبِ عَلَيْهِ وَإشْفَاقِه
but because of what is in him in the form of hardship to him.

وَهُوَ بِحَمْدِ اللهِ فِي حِصْنٍ مَانِعٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيم
prophet -with the praise of Allah- in a firm guard and a noble position.

فَنَشَأَ صَلَّى الله عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَكْمَلِ الأوْصَاف

And he grew up with perfect traits

يَحُفُّهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ جَمِيلُ الرِّعَايَةِ وَغَامِرُ الألْطَاف
Who is enveloped in good protection and much tenderness from Allah.

فَكَانَ يَشِبُّ فِي الْيَوْمِ شَابَ الصَّبِيِّ فِي الشَّهْر
He grows in a day as a child grows in a month

وَيَظْهَرُ عَلَيْهِ فِي صِبَاهُ مِنَ شَرَفِ الكَمَالِ مَا يَشْهَدُ لَهُ بِأَنَّهُ سَيِّدُ وَلَدِ آدَمَ وَلَا فْخْر
And it appears that his childhood is a witness that he is the lord of the children of Adam and is not arrogant.

وَلَمْ يَزَلْ وَأَنْجُمُ سُعُودِهِ طَالِعَه
And endlessly the star of his ascension appeared.

وَالكَائِنَاتُ لِعَهْدِهِ حَافِظَةٌ وَلِأمْرِهِ طَائِعَة
And the creatures keep his promise, and obey his command.

فَمَا نَفَثَ عَلَى مَريضٍ إلَّا شَفَاهُ اللَّه
He does not blow on a sick person unless Allah heals him.

وََلا تَوَجَّهَ فِي غَيْثٍ إلَّا وَأَنْزَلَهُ مَوْلَاه
And do not face the clouds unless their master sends down (rain).

حَتَّى بَلَغَ مِنَ العُمْرِ أَشُدَّه
Until he reaches a strong age

وَمَضَتْ لَهُ مِنْ سِنِّ الشَّبَابِ وَالكُهُولَةِ مُدَّة
And past the age of youth and middle-aged.

فَجَأتْهُ الحَضْرَةُ الإلَهِيَّةِ بِمَا شَرَّفَتْهُ بِهِ وَحْدَه
Then came to him something that made his glory.

فَنَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ الرُّوحُ الأمِين
Then Ruh al-Amin
came to him.

بِالبُشْرَى مِنْ رَبِّ العَالَمِين
with good news from the Lord of the Worlds.

فَتَلَا عَلَيْهِ لِسَانُ الذِّكْرِ الحَكِيم
And recited to him the tongue of the wise dikir

شَاهِدٌ (وَ إنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى القُرآنَ مِنْ لَدُن حَكِيمٍ عَلِيم)
And witness: verily you received the Qur’an from the All-Wise and All-Knowing.

فَكَانَ أَوَّلُ مَا نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ تِلْكَ الحَضْرَةِ مِنْ جَوَامِعِ الحِكَم
Then the jawamiul Hikam that was first revealed to him

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: اقْرَأ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَق خَلَقَ الإنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَق اقْرَأ وَرَبُّكَ الأَكْرَم الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالقَلَم عَلَّمَ الإنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَم
The Word of Allah: Read in the name of your Lord who created man from a clot of blood. Read, and your most honourable Lord, who taught man with a pen what he did not know.

فَمَا أَعْظَمَهَا مِنْ بِشَارَةٍ أَوْصَلَتْهَا يَدُ الإحْسَان
So how great is the glad tidings given by the hand of kindness

مِنْ حَضْرَةِ الامْتِنَان
From the presence of grace,

إلَى هَذَا الإنسَان
to this human being

وَأَيَّدَتْهَا بِشَارَة : الرَّحْمَن عَلَّمَ القُرْآن خَلَقَ الإنسَان عَلَّمَهُ البَيَان
And strengthened with the glad tidings of ar-rahman. who taught the Quran. who created man. who taught man clarity.

وََلا شَكَّ أَنَّهً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هُوَ الإنْسَانُ المَقْصُودُ بِهَذَا التَّعْلِيم
And there is no doubt that he is the one referred to by this teaching.

مِنْ حَضْرَةِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيم
From the most gracious, the most merciful.

ثُمَّ إنَّهُ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم بَعْدَ مَا نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ الوَحْيُ البَلِيغ

Then after him after the fall of the high revelation

تَحَمَّلَ أَعْبَاءَ الدَّعْوَةِ وَالتَّبْلِيغ
He bore the burden of da’wah and delivered the message.

فَدَعَا الْخَلْقَ إلَى اللَّهِ عَلَى بَصِيرَة
then he invites the creation to Allah based on the guidance of

فَأَجَابَهُ بِالإذْعَانِ مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ بَصِيرَةٌ مُنِيرَة
So follow him who has the eyes of a bright heart

وَهِيَ إجَابَةٌ سَبَقَتْ بِهَا الأَقْضِيَةُ وَالأقْدَار
i.e. following that which has been determined and confirmed.

تَشَرَّفَ بِالسَّبْقِ إلَيْهَا المُهَاجِرُونَ وَالأنْصَار
Who got the glory because the Muhajirin and Anshar
used to be there.

وَقَدْ أَكْمَلَ اللّهُ بِهِمَّةِ هَذَا الحَبِيبِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ هَذَا الدِّين
And Allah has perfected this religion with the ideals of this lover and his companion.

واكبت بِشِدَّةٍ بِأَسْهُمٍ قُلُوبَ الكَافِرِينَ وَالْمُلْحِدِين
And subdues by the power of arrows, the hearts of the unbelievers and the disobedient.

فَظَهَرَ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ مِنْ عَظِيمِ المُعْجِزَات
Then there appeared in his hands a great miracle.

مَا يَدُلُّ عَلَى أَنَّهُ أَشْرَفُ أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاوَات
Which shows that he is as good as the inhabitants of the earth and the sky.

فَمِنْهَا تَكْثِيرُ القَلِيلِ وَبَرءُ العَلِيل وَتَسْلِيمُ الحَجَرِ وَطَاعَةُ الشَّجَرِ وَانْشِقَاقِ القَمَرِ وَالإخْبَارِ بِالمُغَيَّبَات
Among them is the multiplication of the few, and healing the sick and the greeting of stones, and the obedience of trees and the splitting of the moon Giving news of the Unseen
 things

وَحَنِينُ الجِذْعِ الَّذِي هُوَ مِنْ خَوَارِقِ العَادَات
The groaning of the date palm tree which is considered extraordinary.

وَشَهَادَةِ الضَبِّ لَهُ وَالغَزَالَةُ بِالنُّبُوَِّة وَالرِّسَالَة

And in addition to this, which includes great verses and strange miracles

إِلَى غَيْرِ ذَلِكَ مِنْ بَاهِرِ الآيَاتِ وَغَرَائِبِ المُعْجِزَات
And the testimony of lizards and deer to his prophethood.

الَّتِي أَيَّدَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا فِي رِسَالَتِه
Which Allah strengthens him in his message.

وَخَصَّصَهُ بِهَا مِنْ بَيْنِ بَرِيَّتِه
The one whom Allah has singled out among the creatures

وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ لَهُ قَبْلَ النُّبُوَّةِ إرْهَاصَات
And the Irhasahot that were before prophethood

هِيَ عَلَى نُبُوَّتِهِ وَرِسَالَتِهِ مِنْ أَقْوَى العَلَامَات
Which includes the strongest address for his prophethood and message.

وَمَعَ ظُهُورِهَا وَانْتِشَارِهَا سَعِدَ بِهَا الصَادِقُونَ مِنَ المُؤمِنِين
And with its appearance and spread, happy are the true believers.

وَشَقِيَ بِهَا المُكَذِّبُونَ مِنَ الكَافِرِينَ وَالمُنَافِقِين
And woe to the disbelievers and hypocrites who deceive.

وَتَلَقَّاهَا بِالتَّصْدِيقِ وَالتَّسْلِيمِ كُلُّ ذِي قَلْبٍ سَلِيم
And accept it with justification and resignation those who have a sound heart.

وَمِنَ الشَّرَفِ الَّذِي اخْتَصَّ اللَّهُ بِهِ أَشْرَفَ رَسُول

and among the glories that Allah has reserved for the most honourable of messengers

مِعْرَاجُهُ إلَى حَضْرَةِ اللَّهِ البَرِّ الوَصُول
Is his mikraj to the presence of Allah which is good and up to

وَظُهُورُ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ البَاهِرَةِ فِيذَلِكَ المِعْرَاج
And the appearance of signs of Allah’s greatness in the mikraj.

وَتَشَرَّفَ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ بِإِشْرَاقِ نُورِ ذَلِكَ السِّرَاج
And the ceiling and its top were glorified by the light of the lantern.

فَقَدْ عَرَجَ الحَبِيبُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَهُ الأمِينُ جِبْرِيل
And the lover of the mikraj, and with him Jibril Al Amin

إِلَى حَضْرَةِ المَلِكِ الجَلِيل
In the presence of the great king

مَعَ التَّشْرِيفَ وَالتَّبْجِيل
With glory and honour.

فَمَا مِنْ سَمَاءٍ وَلُجِّهَا إلَّا وَبَادَرَهُ أَهْلُهَا بِالتَّرْحِيبِ وَالتَّكْرِيمِ وَالتَّأْهِيل
Then there is no heaven and its depths except that its inhabitants hasten to welcome, glorify and exalt it.

وَكُلُّ رَسُولٍ مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ بَشَّرَهُ بِمَا عَرَفَهُ مِنْ حَقِّهِ عِنْدَ اللهِ وَشَيفِ مَنْزِلَتِهِ لَدَيْه
And every messenger that he passed by, gave glad tidings of his rights with Allah and his position.

حَتَّى جَاوَزَ السَّبْعَ الطِّبَاق
Until he passed through seven layers

وَوَصَلَ إلَى حَضْرَةِ الإطْلَاق
And come to the presence of absolute

نَازَلَتْهُ مِنَ الحَضْرَةِ الإلَهِيَّة
Down from the presence of divinity

غَوَامِرُ النَّفَحَاتِ القُرْبِيَّة
The number of close gifts

وَوَاجَهَتْهُ بِالتَّحِيَّات
And face him with respect

وَأَكْرَمَتْهُ بِجَزِيلِ العَطِيَّات
and honoured him with many gifts.

وَأَوْلَتْهُ جَمِيلَ الهِبَات
And gave him a good gift.

وَنَادَتْهُ بِشَريفِ التَّسْلِيمَات
And call upon him with the noble greeting.

بَعْدَ أنْ أَثْنَى عَلَى تِلْكَ الحَضْرَةِ بِالتَّحِيَّاتِ المُبَارَكَاتِ الصَّلَوَاتِ الطَّيِبَات
After he praised with a blessed salutation, and a good greeting

فَيَا لَهَا مِنْ نَفَحَاتٍ غَامِرَات
Then it is good to give much.

وَتَجَلِّيَاتٍ عَالِيَات
And a high appearance

فِي حَضْرَاتٍ بَاهِرَات
in clear Hadroh

تَشَهَّدَ فِيهَا الذَّاتُ لِلذَّات
That in whichzat testifies tozat

وَتَتََلَقَّى عَوَاطِفُ الرَّحَمَات
And the acceptance of affection

وَسَوَابِغُ الفُيُوضَات
And the number of streams

بِأيْدِي الخُضُوعِ وَالإخْبَات
with humble hands

رَتْبٌ تَسْقُطُ الأمَانِي حَسْرَى دُونَهَا مَا وَرَاءُهُنَّ وَرَاء
The degree to which hope falls because of disappointment, behind it there is no back.

عَقَلَ الحَبِيبُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي تِلْكَ الحَضْرَةِ مِنْ سِرِّهَا مَا عَقَل
And then he knew what he knew.

وَاتَّصَلَ مِنْ عِلْمِهَا بِمَا اتَّصَل
And connect from his knowledge with something that connects.

فَأوْحَى إلَى عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَى
Mak Allah gives Revelation to His servants.

مَا كَذَبَ الفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَى
The heart does not lie to what it sees.

فَمَا هِيَ إلَّا مِنْحَةٌ خَصَّصَتْ بِهَا حَضْرَةُ الامْتِنَان هَذَا الإنْسَان
It is nothing but a gift that is devoted to this person.

وَأَوْلَتْهُ مِنْ عَوَاطِفِهَا الرَّحِيمَةِ مَا يَعْجِزُ عَنْ حَمْلِهِ الثَّقَلَان
which he gives out of his affection which neither man nor jinn are able to bring.

وَتِلْكَ المَوَاهِبُ لَا يَجْسِرُ القَلَمَ عَلَى شَرْحِ حَقَائِقِهَا the
gift of the pen is unable to explain its essence.

وَلَا تَسْتَطِيعُ الألْسُنُ أَنْ تُعْرِبَ عَنْ خَفِيّ دَقَائِقِهَا
and the tongue is incapable of revealing from the obscurity of its softness.

خَصَّصَّتْ بِهَا الحَضْرَةُ الوَاسِعَةُ، هَذِهِ العَيْنَ النَاظِرَةَ، وَالأذُنُ السَّامِعَة
which is devoted by the vast hadrah to the eyes that see this and the ears that hear it

فَلَا يَطْمَعُ طَامِعٌ فٍي الاطِّلَاعِ عَلَى مَسْتٌورِهَا
then the one who hopes cannot expect to see the shutters closed

وَالإحَاطَةُ بِشُهُودِ نُورِهَا
and includes looking at its light

فَإنَّهَا حَضْرَةٌ جَلَّتْ عَنْ نَظَرِ النَّاظِرِين
it is a hadrah that is difficult from the view of those who look at it.

وَرُتْبَةٌ عَزَّت عَلَى غَيْرِ سَيِّدِ المُرْسَلِين
and a degree that is rare for anyone
 other than the messengers.

فَهَنَيئاً لِلْحَضْرَةِ المُحَمَّدِيَّة
then good for Muhammadiyah hadrah

مَا وَاجَهَهَا مِنْ عَطَايَا الحَضْرَةِ الأَحَدِيَّة
he met from the Ahadiyah hadrah
giving

وَبُلُوغُهَا إلَى هَذَا المَقَامِ العَظِيم
and reach this high position.

وَحَيْثُ تَشَرَّفَتِ الأسْمَاعُ بأَخْبَارِ هَذَا الحَبِيبِ المَحْبُوب

And when hearing is honoured with the news of this beloved lover

وَمَا حَصَلَ لَهُ مِنَ الكََرَامَةِ فِي عَوَالِمِ الشَّهَادَةِ وَالغيُوب
And what results is glory in the present and unseen
 realms.

تَحَرَّكَتْ هِمَّةُ المُتَكَلِّمِ إِلَى نَشْرِ مَحَاسِنِ خَلْقِ هَذَا السَّيِّدِ وَأَخْلَاقِهِ The
speaker’s desire is moved to spread the goodness of this lord’s body and his character.

لِيَعْرِفَ السَّامِعُ مَا أَكْرَمَهُ اللَّهُ بِهِ مِنَ الوَصْفِ الحَسَن

 So that those who hear may know the good qualities that Allah has given him.

والخَلْقِ الجَمِيلِ الَّذِي خَصَّصَتْهُ بِهِ عِنَايَةُ خلاقه

And a good body devoted to the care of its creator

فَلْيُقَابِلِ السَّامِعُ مَا أُمْلِيهِ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ شَرِيفِ الأخْلَاقِ بِأُذُنٍ وَاعِيَة
And let the one who hears implement the nobility of his character with the ear that hears.

فَإنَّهُ سَوْفَ يَجْمَعُهُ مِنْ أَوْصَافِ الحَبِيبِ عَلَى الرُّتْبَةِ العَالِيَة
Because it will gather him to a high degree.

فَلَيْسَ يُشَابِهُ هَذَا السَّيِّدَ فِي خَلْقِهِ وَأَخْلَاقِهِ بَشَر
Then there is no man like this lord in his body and his character

وَلَا يَقِفُ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَسْرَارِ حِكْمَةِ اللَّهِ فِي خَلْقِهِ و خُلُقِهِ عَلَى عَيْنٍ وَلَا أَثَر
And no one stands from the secrets
 of Allah’s wisdom Above the ain and asar.

فَإِنَّ العِنَايَةَ الأَزَلِيَّة
Because of azali attention

طَبَعَتْهٌ عَلَى أَخْلَاقٍ سَنِيَّة
moulded him to noble character.

وَأَقَامَتْهُ فِي صُورَةٍ حَسَنَةٍ بَدْرِيَّة
and establish him in a good form like the full moon.

فَلَقَدْ كَانَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرْبُوعُ القَامَةِ أَبْيَضُ اللَّوْنِ مُشَرَّباً بِحُمْرَة
And he was upright, white in colour mixed with red.

وَاسِعُ الجَبِينِ حَسَنَه شَعْرُهُ بَيْنَ الجَمَّةِ وَالْوَفْرَه
His forehead is broad, his hair between curly and straight.

وَلَهُ الاعْتِدَالُ الكَامِلُ فِي مَفَاصِلِهِ وَأَطْرَافِه
And he had perfect balance in his wrists and limbs.

والإسْتِقَامَةِ الكَامِلَةُ فِي مَحَاسِنِهِ وَأَوْصَافِه
And perfect Istiqomah in the goodness of its nature.

لَمْ يَأْتِ بَشَرٌ عَلَى مِثْلِ خُلُقِه
There is no one who resembles his character.

فِي مَحَاسِنِ نَظَرِهِ وَسَمْعِهِ وَنُطْقِه
In the goodness of his
sight, vision and speech

قَدْ خَلَقَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى أَجْمَلِ صُورَة
Allah created him in the best possible form.

فِيهَا جَمِيعُ المَحَاسِنِ مَحْصُورَة therein is bound all goodness.

وَعَلَيْهَا مَقْصُورَة
and includes

إِذَا تَكَلَّمَ نَثَرَ مِنَ المَعَارِفِ وَالْعٌلٌومِ نَفَائِسَ الدُّرَر
When speaking he spreads knowledge and knowledge like a good diamond

وَلَقَدْ أُوتِيَ مِنْ جَوَامِعِ الكَلِمِ مَا عَجَزَ عَنِ الإتْيَانِ بِمِثْلِهِ مَصَاقِعُ البُلَغَاءِ مِنَ البَشَر
he was given jawamiul kalim, which great literary experts cannot match.

تَتَنَزَّهَ العُيُونُ فِي حَدَائِقِ مَحَاسِنِ جَمَالِه
clean eyes in the landscaping of its beauty goodness

فَلَا تَجِدُ مَخْلُوقاً فِي الوُجُودِ عَلَى مِثَالِهِ
then you will not find a creature in the universe that resembles it.

سَيِّدٌ ضَحْكٌهُ التَّبَسًّمُ وَالمَشْيُ الهُوَيْنَا وَنَوْمُهُ الإغْفَاء the
master whose laugh is a smile, whose walk is calm, and whose sleep is sound

مَا سِوَى خُلُقِهِ النَسِيمُ وَلَا غَيْرَ مَحْياهُ الرَّوْضَةُ الغَنَّاء
no spring except his morals, and no beautiful landscaping except the place where he lived.

رَحْمَةٌ كُلُّهُ وَحَزْمٌ وَعَزْمٌ وَوَقَارٌ وَعِصْمَةٌ وَحَيَاء
are all grace, firm, strong, calm, guarded and shy.

مُعْجِزُ القَوْلِ وَالفِعَالِ كَرِيمُ الخَلْقِ وَالْخُلُقِ مُقْسِطٌ مِعْطَاء
miraculous in speech and action, noble in body and character, honest and generous.

وَإذَا مَشَى فَكَأَنَّمَا يَنْحَطُّ مِنْ صَبَب
if walking as if dismounting from the teacher

فَيَفُوتُ سَرِيعُ المَشْيِ مِنْ غَيْرِ خَبَب
then people quickly lost him from without being deceived.

ُفَهُوَ الكَنْزُ المُطَلْسَمِ الَّذِي لَا يَأتِي عَلَى فَتْحِ بَابِ أَوْصَافِهُ مِفْتَاح
he is a stored treasure whose key cannot open the door to his attributes.

وَالبَدْرُ التِمُّ الَّذِي يَأْخُذُ الألْبَابَ إذَا تَخَيَّلَتْهُ أَوْ سِنَاهُ لَهَا لَاح
and the perfect full moon that takes the heart away at the thought of it.

حَبِيبٌ يُغَارُ البَدْرُ مِنْ حُسْنِ وَجْهِهِ تَحَيَّرَتْ الألْبَابُ فِي وَصْفِ مَعْنَاهُ the
lover of the full moon is jealous because of the goodness of his face, which confuses the heart in the nature of its meaning.

فَمَاذَا يُعْرِبُ القَوْلُ عَنْ وَصْفٍ يُعْجِزُ الوَاصِفِين
then what is the expression of the speech of the weak nature of those who characterise it

أَوْ يُدْرِكُ الفَهْمُ مَعْنَى ذَاتٍ جَلَّتْ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهَا فِي وَصْفِهَا مُشَارِكٌ أَوْ قَرِين
or the understanding gets the meaning of a substance that is difficult to have friends or companions.

كَمُلَتْ مَحَاسِنُهُ فَلَوْ أَهْدَى السَّنَا لِلْبَدْرِ عِنْدَ تَمَامِهِ لَمْ يَخسَفِ
perfect his kindness, even if the altitude gives a gift to the moon, the moon will not eclipse.

وَعَلَى تَفَنُّنِ وَاصِفِيهِ بِوَصْفِهِ يَفْنَى الزَّمَانُ وَفِيهِ مَا لَمْ يُوصَف
and the variety of those who characterise him, the time is over, and in him there is one who has not been characterised.

فَمَا أَجَلَّ قَدْرُهٌ العَظِيم
hence how great is his degree.

وَأَوْسَعَ فَضْلُهُ العَمِيم
and how extensive his virtues are.

وَلَقَدِ اتَّصَفَ صَلَّى اللّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ مَحَاسِنِ الأخْلَاق

The Messenger of Allah was characterised by good qualities

بِمَا تَضِيقُ عَنْ كِتَابَتِهِ بُطُونُ الأوْرَاق
That which becomes difficult to express with paper

كَانَ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَحْسَنَ النَّاسِ خُلُقًا وَخَلْقًا
He was the best man in terms of his body and his character.

وَأوَّلَهُم إلَى مَكَارِمِ الأخْلَاقِ سَبْقَا
And the first to noble morals

وَأوْسَعَهُمْ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ ِحِلْمًا وَرِفقًا
And the most extensive is his compassion for the believers.

بَراًّ رَؤُوفاً
Kind and compassionate

لَا يَقُولُ وَلَا يَفْعَلُ إلَّا مَعْرُوفًا
Saying and doing nothing but good.

لَهُ الْخُلُقُ السَّهْل
He has good character.

واللَّفْظُ المُحْتَوِي عَلَى المَعْنَى الجَزْل
and lafaz that contain great meaning.

إذَا دَعَاهُ المِسْكِينُ أَجَابَهُ إجَابَةً مُعَجَّلَه
When the poor are called he fulfils them quickly.

وَهُوَ الأَبُ الرَّحِيمُ الشَّفِيقُ الرَّحِيمُ لِليَتِيمِ وَالأَرْمَلَة
He was a loving father to orphans and widows.

وَلَهُ مَعَ سُهُولَةِ أخْلَاقِهِ الهَيْبَةُ القَوِيَّة
along with his good character, he has a strong authority.

الَّتِي تَرْتَعِدُ مِنْهَا فَرَائِصُ الأَقْوِيَاءُ مِنَ البَرِيّة
Who pervert those who are strong in the land trembling

وَمِن نَشْرِ ِطِيْبِهِ تَعَطَّرَتِ الطُّرُقُ وَالمَنَازِل
And from the spreading of its fragrance the streets and houses become fragrant.

وَبِعَرفِ ذِكْرِهِ تَطَيَّبَتِ المَجَالِسُ وَالمَحَافِل
And with the fragrance of his name, to be the fragrance of the assembly and gathering

فَهُوَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَامِعُ الصِّفَاتِ الكَمَالِيَّة
He is the Collector of perfect attributes.

وَالْمُنْفَرِدُ فِي خَلْقِهِ وَخُلُقِهِ بِأَشْرَفِ خُصُوصِيَّة
And the one who is singular in his body and his character with a noble specificity

فَمَا مِنْ خُلُقٍ فِي البَرِيَّةِ مَحْمُود
Then there is no noble character of the creature.

إلَّا وَهُوَ مُتَلَقٍّى عَنْ زَيْنِ الوُجُود
except getting from the prophet the decoration of the creature

أَجْمَلْتُ فِي وَصْفِ الحَبِيبِ وَشَأنِه ۞ وَلَهُ العُلَا فِي مَجْدِهِ وَمَكَانِهِ
I am correct in characterising the prophet, and he is high in glory and position.

أوْصَافُ عِزٍّ قَدْ تَعَالَى مَجْدُهَا ۞ أَخَذَتْ عَلَى نَجْمِ السُهَا بِعِنَانِهِ The noble attributes, which are pure of grace, which I took control of from the suha star

وَقَدِ انبَسَطَ القَلَمُ فِي تَدْوِينِ مَا أَفَادَهُ العِلْمُ مِنْ وَقَائِعِ مَوْلِدِ النَّبِيِ الكَرِيم
And the pen has narrowed in recording the knowledge of the events
 of the noble prophet’s maulid.

حِكَايَةَ مَا أكْرَمَ اللَّهُ بِهِ هَذَا العَبْدَ المُقَرَ مِنَ التَّكْرْيمِ وَالتَّعْظِيمِ وَالخُلُقِ العَظِيم
The story of the one to whom Allah has given glory, such as honour, exaltation and noble character.

فَحَسُنَ مِنِّي أَنْ أُمْسِكَ أعِنَةَ الأقْلَام
So it is good for me to hold the pen’s eye

فِي هَذَا المَقَام
In this place

وَأَقْرَأَ السَّلَام
And recite the salam,

عَلَى سَيِّدِ الأنَام
to the lord of mankind

(ثلاثاَ) السَّلَامُ عَلَيكَ أيُّهَا النَّبِيُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَكَاتُه
Salam, Rahmah and blessings be upon you O prophet (3x)

وَبِذَلِكَ يَحْسُنُ الخَتْمُ كَمَا يَحْسُنُ التَّقْدِيم
And from there, the end becomes as good as the opening.

فَعَلَيْهِ أَفْضَلُ الصَّلَاةِ وَالتَّسْلِيم
And to him as well as peace and blessings.

الحَمْدُ للهِ رَبِّ العَلَمِيْن

Praise be to God, the Lord of the Worlds

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِي الأوَّلِين
O Allah, peace and blessings be upon our lord Muhammad in the early ages.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِي الآخِرِيْن
O Allah send blessings and peace to our lord Muhammad in the last people.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّم عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِي كُلِّ وَقْتٍ وَحِيْن
O Allah, peace and blessings be upon our Lord Muhammad at all times and times.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّم عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحُمَّدٍ فِي المَلَأ الأعْلَى إلَى يَوْمِ الدِّيْن
O Allah, peace and blessings be upon our lord Muhammad on high until the Day of Judgement.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْن
O Allah peace and blessings be upon our lord Muhammad the last of the prophets.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ أجْمَعِين
O Allah peace and blessings be upon our Lord Muhammad and his family and companions.

وَلَمَّا نَظَمَ الفِكْرُ مِنْ دَرَارِي الأوْصَافِ المُحَمَّدِيَّةِ عُقُوداً
When the mind strings together the diamonds of Muhammad’s nature

تَوَجَّهْتُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مُتَوسِّلاً بِسَيِّدِي وَحََبِيْبِي مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم
I come before Allah with tawassul with our lord and beloved Muhammad.

أَنْ يَجْعَلَ سَعْيِيِ فِيهِ مَشْكُوراً
In order to make my deeds accepted.

وَفِعْلِي فِيهِ مَحْمُوداً
And my work is praised

وَأَنْ يَكْتُبَ عَمَلِي فِي الأعْمَالِ المَقْبُولَة
And write the deeds in accepted deeds

وتَوَجُهِي فِي التَّوَجُّهُاتِ الخَالِصَة
And come before me in sincerity.

وَالصِّلاَتِ المَوْصُولَة
And the joints that connect

اللَّهُمَّ يَا مَنْ إلَيْهِ تَتَوَجَّهُ الآمَالُ فَتَعُودُ ظَافِرَة
O Allah, the one to whom hopes are made and then return to success.

وَعَلَى بَابِ عِزَّتِهِ تُحَطُ الرِّحَالُ فَتَغْشَاهَا مِنْهُ الفُيُوضَاتُ الغَامِرَة
And in front of the door of his glory was tied (rope) a vehicle Then Filled With a lot of Flow

نَتَوَجَّهُ إلَيْكَ بِأشْرَفِ الوَسَائِلِ لَدَيك
We come to you with the best wasilah.

سَيِّدِ المُرْسَلِيْن
lord of the messengers

عَبْدِكَ الصَّادِقِ الأمِيْن Your honest and trustworthy servant.

سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ الَّذِي عَمَّتْ رِسَالَتُهُ العَالَمِيْن
Our Lord whose treatise fills all the worlds

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ وَتُسَلِّمَ عَلَى تِلْكَ الذَّاتِ الكَامِلَة
That you may offer salutations and greetings upon the perfect substance.

مُسْتَوْدَعِ أَمَانَتِك
Your trust.

وَحَفِيْظِ سِرِّك
Guardian of Your
 secrets

وَحَامِلِ رَايَةِ دَعْوَتِكَ الشَّامِلَة
The flag bearer of your comprehensive preaching

الأَبِ الأكْبَر The
biggest father

المَحْبُوبِ لَكَ وَالمَخْصِوصِ بِالشَّرَفِ الأفْخَر
the one you love, the one set apart with great glory.

فِي كُلِّ مَوْطِنٍ مِنْ مَوَاطِنِ القُربِ ومَظهَر
In every near and holy place

قَاسِمِ إمْدَادِكَ فِي عِبَادِك
Divider of Your gifts to Your creatures

وَسَاقِي كُؤُوسِ إرْشَادِكَ لِأهْلِ وِدَادِك
The giver of the glass of your guidance in those whom you love.

سَيِّدِ الكَوْنَين
The lord of the two worlds

وَأَشْرَفِ الثَّقَلَيْن
and as good as man and jinn

العَبْدِ المَحْبُوبِ الخَالِص
Pure beloved servant

المَخْصُوصِ مِنْكَ بِأَجَلِّ الخَصَائِص
That which is devoted with noble particularity.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَأصْحَابِه
O Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and his
 family and friends.

وَأهْلِ حَضْرَةِ اقْتِرَابِهِ مِنْ أحْبَابِه
And his close lover

اللَّهُمَّ إنَّا نُقَدِّمُ إلَيْكَ جَاهَ هَذَا النَّبِيِّ الكَرِيم
O Allah we submit to you
the degree of this noble prophet.

وَنَتَوَسَّلُ إلَيْكَ بِشَرَفِ مَقَامِهِ العَظِيم
And we ask you with the glory of his great position.

أن تُلاحِظَنا فِي حَرَكَاتِنَا وَسَكَنَاتِنَا بِعَيْنِ عِنَايَتِك
That you may be mindful of us, in our movement and silence with your care.

وَأنْ تَحْفَظَنَا فِي جَمِيعِ أطْوَارِنا
And look after us in all our circumstances

و تَقَلُّبَاتِنَا بِجَمِيلِ رِعَايَتِك
And our deeds with the kindness of Your
 consideration

وَحَصِينِ وِقَايَتِك
And the firmness of Your guardianship

وَأَنْ تُبَلِّغَنَا مِنْ شَرَفِ القُرْبِ إلَيْك وَإلَى هَذَا الحَبِيبِ غَايَة آمَالِنَا
And convey us from the glory of being close to You And to this beloved, the pinnacle of our hope.

وَتَتَقَّلَ مِنَّا مَا تَحَرَّكْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ نِيَّاتِنَا وَأَعْمَالِنَا
And you accept from us, what we move, our intentions and our deeds.

وَتَجْعَلَنَا فِي حَضْرَةِ هَذَا الحَبيبِ مِنَ الحَاضِرِين
And make us, the people who attend this Hadroh of lovers, among those who are hadi

وَفِي طَرَائِقِ اتّبَاعِهِ مِنَ السَّالِكِين
And are among those who tread the path of following him.

وَلِحَقِّكَ وَحَقِّهِ مِنَ المُؤَدّين
And who fulfils Your
 rights and his rights.

وَلِعَهْدِكَ مِنَ الحَافِظِين
Keep your promise

اللَّهُمَّ إنَّ لَنَا أطْمَاعاً فِي رَحْمَتِكَ الخَاصَّةِ فَلَا تَحْرِمْنا
O Allah we have hope of your mercy so do not hinder us.

وَظُنُوناً جَمِيلَةً هِيَ وَسِيلَتُنَا إلَيْكَ فَلَا تُخَيّبْنَا
And good wishes are our waslah to you so do not waste us.

آمنّا بِكَ وَبِرَسُولِكَ وَمَا جَاءَ بِهِ مِنَ الدِّين
We believe in you and in your
 messenger and the religion that he brought

وَتَوَجُّهَنَا بِهِ إلَيْكَ مُسْتَشْفِعِين
We come to you for intercession.

أن تُقابِلَ المُذْنِبَ مِنّا بِالغُفْرَان
And those who have sins are forgiven.

والمُسِيءَ بِالإحْسَان
And the one who has an evil is corrected.

وَالسَّائِلَ بِمَا سَأل
And he who asks is given what he asks for.

والمُؤَمِلَ بِمَا أَمَّل
The one who hopes is given his hope.

وأنْ تَجْعَلَنَا مِمَّنْ نَصَرَ هَذَا الحَبِيْبَ وَازَرَهُ
And make us the ones who help this lover and assist him.

وَوَالَاه وَظَاهَرَه
And loved him and helped him.

وعُمَّ بِبَرَكَتِهِ وَشَرِيفِ وِجهَتِهِ أولَادَنَا وَوَالِدِينَا
And his blessings on our children and our parents.

وَأَهْلِ قُطْرِنَا وَوَادِينا
And the inhabitants of our regions and valleys

وَجَمِيعِ المُسْلِمِينَ وَالمُسْلِمَات
And all Muslims.

وَالمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالمُؤْمِنَات
And those who have faith.

فِي جَمِيعِ الجِهَات
In all directions

وَأدِمْ رَايَةَ الدِّينِ القَوِيمِ فِي جَمِيعِ الأقْطَارِ مَنْشُورَة (ثلاثاً)
And the flag of the upright religion let it always fly in all regions.

وَمَعَالِمَ الإسْلَامِ وَالإيمَانِ بِأهْلِهَا مَعْمُورَة
And the signs of Islam and faith

مَعْنىً وَصُورَة
Both meaning and form.

وَاكْشِفِ اللَّهُمَّ كُرْبَةَ المَكْرُوبِين
And remove the hardship of those who are in difficulty.

وَاقْضِ دَيْنَ المَدِينِين
And fulfil the debts of those who are in debt.

وَاغْفِر لِلْمُذْنِبِين
Forgive those who sin.

وَتَقَبَّل تَوْبَةَ التَّائِبِين
And accept the repentance of those who repent.

وَانْشُرْ رَحْمَتَكَ عَلَى عِبَادِكَ المُؤْمِنِين أَجْمَعِين
And spread Your mercy over Your believing
servants.

وَاكْفِ شَرَّ المُعْتَدِينَ وَالظَّالِمِين
And suffice the evil of the unjust and oppressive.

وَابْسُطِ العَدْلَ بِوُلاةِ الحَقِّ فِي جَمِيعِ النَّوَاحِي وَالأقْطَار
And spread justice to the righteous leader in all directions and regions.

وأيِّدْهُم بِتَأيِيدٍ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَنَصْرٍ عَلَى المُعَانِدِينَ مِنَ المُنَافِقِينَ وَالكُفَّار
And strengthen them with strength from you, and victory over the disobedient such as hypocrites and disbelievers.

وَاجْعَلْنَا يَا رَبِّ فِي الْحِصْنِ الحَصِينِ مِنْ جَمِيعِ البَلَايَا (ثلاثاً)
And make us, O our Lord, a firm refuge from every trial.

وَفِي الحِرْزِ المَكِينِ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ وَالخَطَايَا
And a strong place from every sin and fault.

وَأَدِمْنَا فِي العَمَلِ بِطَاعَتِكَ وَالصِّدْقِ فِي خِدْمَتِكَ قَائِمِين
And apply us in the practice of obeying You, and be earnest in serving You.

وَإذَا تَوَفَّيْتَنَا فتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِين مُؤْمِنِين
And if you take our lives then take our lives in Islam and faith

وَاخْتِم لَنَا مِنكَ بِخَيْرٍ أجْمَعِين
And end us all with good from you.

وَصَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى هَذَا الحَبِيبِ المَحْبُوب
And peace and blessings be upon this beloved one.

لِلأجْسَامِ وَالأرْوَاحِ وَالْقُلُوب
For the body spirit and heart

وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَمَنْ إلَيْهِ مَنْسُوب
And for his family his friends and those attributed to him.

وَآخِرُ دَعْوَانَا أنِ الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِين
And our old end is alhamdulillahirobbilalamin

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ العِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُون وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى المُرْسَلِين وَالحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِين The
holy language of your Lord the Lord of glory from what they siphon and greetings to the messengers with all praise to Allah the Lord of the worlds.

إنَّ اللَّه وَمَلاَئِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِي يَا أيُّهَا الذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيما
Indeed, Allah and his angels offer peace and blessings upon the prophet, O you who believe, offer peace
and blessings upon him.those who believe, invoke Allah’s peace and blessings upon him.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّم عَلَيهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم
O Allah peace and blessings be upon him.

دَعْوَاهُم فِيهَا سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُم فِيهَا سَلَام وَآخِرُ دَعْوَاهُم أَنِ الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِين
Their supplication in heaven is holy you, and their salutation is salam, and the end of their request is praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

الصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدِ المُرْسَلِين
Peace and blessings be upon you, O lord of the messengers.

الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيكَ يَا خَاتَمَ النَّبِِيّيْن
Peace and blessings be upon you, the end of the prophets.

الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ أَرْسَلَكَ اللّهُ رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِين Peace
and blessings be upon you, O one sent by Allah as a mercy to all worlds.

وَرَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْ أصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أجْمَعِين. آمين
Allah’s blessings be upon all the companions of the Prophet. Amen
